Dear Ellie,

You didn't sleep well last night. You've been nursing all day. If I leave the room, you promptly wail. Any feelings of frustration or impatience quickly melted when you happily settled for a (short) nap with me. This precious moment right here is all I will remember.

The differences.

I think the biggest challenge with having two kids (or more, I'd imagine) is reminding myself not to compare them. Just because Makani was this way at four months doesn't mean Aurelia will be. She is her own person, and has her own path and is doing it just as she should be. My job is to remember that, and keep encouraging.

Milestones

Every time my babies get older, as much as I miss that itty bitty phase (and that delicious newborn smell), I can't help but delight in their milestones and cheer them on as they become aware of their own personalities.
